The German lyric tenor Andreas Karasiak originally studied piano and voice in Germany and Switzerland.

As an international well known Concert- and Opera singer Andreas Karasiak has performed all over the world. To name only a few, he has featured in operas and concerts in New York/USA (St. Matthew Passion), Tokyo/Japan (Die Schöne Müllerin, Schubert), Melbourne/Australia and Johannesburg/South Africa (Il Ritorno di Ulisse in Patria, Monteverdi), Salzburg Festival/Austria (Il Re Pastore, Mozart) and in Europe´s leading venues such as the Vienna Musikverein/Austria, Concertgebouw Amsterdam/Netherlands, Danish Radio Sinfonietta/Copenhagen Denmark, RTVE Madrid/Spain, Maggio Musicale Florence/Italy, Folles Journées Nantes/France and Bilbao/Spain, Salamanca/Spain, Alte Oper Frankfurt/Germany/, Berlin Philharmonic/ Germany, Salle Pleyel/Paris, Concert Hall Brussels.

Andreas Karasiak has a special passion for the German Lied of which he performed and recorded in recitals worldwide.

Andreas Karasiak has made more than 300 CD, DVD and radio recordings with broadcasters in Australia, Japan, USA, Spain, Italy, Poland, Austria, Hungary France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, etc.

He performed and recorded under the direction of many famous conductors such as Gustav Leonhardt, Philippe Herreweghe, Ton Koopman, Thomas Hengelbrock, Frieder Bernius, Marcus Creed, Paul Goodwin, Silvain Cambreling, Rafael Frühbeck de Bourgos, Michel Corboz, Bruno Weil, David Zinman, Michael Hofstetter, Martin Haselböck, Jos van Veldhofen, Hans Christoph Rademann.

He worked with orchestras like Concerto Köln, RSB Radio Orchestra, Concertgebouw Orchestra Amsterdam, Cagliari Opera Orchestra, Orchestre des Champs-Elysées Paris, Cappella Coloniensis, RTVE Madrid, Balthasar Neumann Orchestra, Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, RSB, NDR, MDR, WDR, HR, RIAS, SFB, Deutschlandradio, and f.e. the opera houses in Salzburg Festival, Stuttgart, Melbourne, Brussels, Basel, Mannheim, International Mai Festival Wiesbaden, Darmstadt.

He has also established himself as a specialist for modern music on the opera and concert stage. He sang and recorded world premieres of works written for him by Siegfried Matthus and Harald Weiss and embodied highly complex roles in operas by Steve Reich and Miroslav Srnka.

Andreas Karasiak has been a professor of singing for professional voice students at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz since 2007 and gives master classes for singing worldwide.
