The “Komitas Duo”, consisting of Hasmik Sarukian, who is studying in the Bachelor of Piano degree program in the class of Prof. Thomas Hell, and cellist Egon Buchner, from the class of Daniel Geiss, has won the 2nd prize at the 10th European Chamber Music Competition “Wolfgang Meyer” in Karlsruhe. The 2nd prize is endowed with €3000.
A focus of this competition was the chamber music work of Max Reger.
