120 credit points

46 semester hours in the compulsory modules

Admission requirements

University entrance qualification as per Art. 65 Sec. 1 of the University Act (HochSchG): General higher education entrance qualification or a discipline-specific admission qualification

A Bachelor's degree in Music or an equivalent degree awarded by a university in Germany or abroad

Successful completion of a qualifying examination

Entrance into the program only possible in the winter semester

Chamber music l and ll

In-depth studies program

Interdisciplinary studies

Elective areas: History of theater and opera, Style and influence of 18th  century music, New music, Protestant theology, Catholic theology, Educational methods and diversity

1. Module-by-module exams during the course of studies

2. Public concert (60 minutes)


2. Requirements for the qualifying examination

Examination in the major subject piano (duration approx. 30 minutes):

Presentation of works from four different stylistic periods, including performance of the following required works: one classical sonata by Joseph Haydn, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, or Ludwig van Beethoven as well as one etude in the difficulty level of an etude by Frédéric Chopin.
